Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA): Attracting Attention on the Conference Floor

TVA EnergyRight® provides businesses in their service territory with energy information, resources, and programs that help them thrive. Conference and tradeshow marketing is one tactic they use to showcase their programs to peers, potential partners, and customers. As part of our ongoing communications support role, we helped EnergyRight develop a conference booth that would stand out on a crowded tradeshow floor and create an atmosphere that invites curiosity and conversation.
Introducing the PowerUp Café. A place to power up your phone, your day (hello, freshly brewed coffee anyone?), and ultimately your business (through EnergyRight’s programs.) To make it more memorable, the lattes included a foam printed TVA logo on top. The booth had clear utility branding, but also the visual appeal of a “coffee shop,” with chalk style art on the back wall, and a “technology bar” with a walk up counter staffed by “energy baristas” ready to talk shop. We mounted two large TV monitors on the back wall and developed looping multimedia presentations broadcasting targeted messaging appropriate for that conference audience.
