Without exception, organizations are facing extraordinary challenges to the way we live and work. And even when life returns to “normal” — it will not go back to the way things were. We must change ourselves, adapt and find new ways to thrive.
As a certified B Corporation, Milepost is dedicated to using business as a force for good. We believe in meeting every challenge with an opportunity, and right now, there is opportunity all around us as the world begins to reshape and redefine our new “normal.” To encourage organizations to take bold, adaptive steps, Milepost launched the Challenge to Change Giveback.
For two weeks, we accepted applications from companies, organizations and teams from any sector, for up to 25 hours of free service from our team of strategists, creatives and facilitators.
The services we offered included:
- Strategy & Planning
- Research & Market Insights
- Reporting
- Messaging Frameworks
- Content Development
- Virtual Meeting/ Workshop/ Focus Group Facilitation
- Team Building
We were humbled by the number of companies who submitted applications — 30 diverse organizations from at least nine different states and DC. Without exception, the entries were insightful and thoughtful. It was gratifying to see the depth and diversity of organizations that share our vision of using business for good, to create a positive impact on society and the environment.
Projects were selected based on shared values, need for organizational change or improvement and clear objectives, and we are proud to announce the following winners and how Milepost will be working with them:
Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), a non-profit offering energy, water and carbon solutions that help businesses mitigate their environmental impacts. We’re supporting BEF with the development of participatory market research tools designed to identify new product, program and partnership opportunities.
Ohio Energy Project (OEP), a non-profit that has inspired leadership and energy innovation in Ohio’s teachers and students for the past 35 years. Milepost is working with OEP to build a strategic roadmap that will guide them through a post-COVID funding and programmatic transition.
Salmon Safe, a non-profit working to keep urban and agricultural watersheds in the Pacific Northwest clean enough for native salmon to spawn and thrive. We’re helping the Salmon Safe team develop messaging to communicate their refined value proposition in a post-COVID world.
"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
